Kitty
was one of the first two bassets I purchased from Cathie
Spencer of JerCat Bassets. She was a spectacular bitch and
I can honestly say to this day that she was one of the best
basset hound that I had ever owned.
Kitty
garnered several points from the puppy classes, including
a 5-point major at the Basset Hound Club of Sacramento specialty
from the 6 - 9 puppy class. She finished her championship
by age two, and went on to several Best of Breed wins. Her
wins are even more spectacular when considering that she
was owner handled by a very nervous novice!
Kitty
taught me so very much, including how to whelp and
raise puppies. I bred her once and she produced a
litter of seven gorgeous red & white puppies.
If I had that litter today, six would have probably
finished their championship. As I was too inexperienced
and unknown, only one did, Ch.
Rivendell's Miss Kit Kat.
As
an opportunity for me to return to college arose,
I knew that I would not be able to raise another litter.
I returned Kitty to Cathy & Jerry Spencer. She
was bred to Ch. JerCat's Emmit Kelly, and I received
her daughter, Ch. JerCat's Cody
Jeameau.
