Bijou was a member of the first Toby X Cody litter. She was one of those ugly duckling puppies that did not truly come into her own until after age two. Once she matured, there was no looking back. She finished in a flurry with several specialty wins.

She was bred only twice, and produced a total of eight puppies. Both of these breeding were out crosses. Her first litter by Am/Bdr/Can Ch. Pyperwynd's I.M. Reddie Freddie ROM produce one Champion out of a litter of three puppies. She was later bred to Ch. Sanlyn's Classic Ten O'Bayland ROM, and produced a litter of five. As four of these puppies finished their championships, she was awarded Register of Merit recognition by the Basset Hound Club of America.
