Babybut
is another of our Once In A Lifetime dogs.
An unforgettable dog with an unforgettable name. She
received that name at birth. She is a close replica
of her grandmother, Ch. Rivendell's
Sweet-N-Lo, Butter AKABut-But,
and was named to honor her. Babybut's
first show was the Basset Hound Club of Greater Seattle
Specialty in November of 2001. She took a 5 point
major for the 6 - 9 month class even though we are
not sure she ever stacked. She finished her Championship
with another Specialty Best of Winners win from the
puppy class at the Emerald Empire Basset Hound Fanciers
show in February, 2002.
Babybut had an impressive career with multiple all-breed Best of Breed
wins, several hound group placements, and seven Specialty
Best In Shows. She is co-owned with Sandi & Mark
Chryssanthis of Sanlyn Bassets, and Howard Haskell
of Showtime Bassets in Texas. Babybut had her first litter in 2004. She was bred to Ch. Foxglen's
Special Forces and produced a very nice litter of
eight. Five of her pups finished their championships in 2005, which has qualified her for her Register of Merit. She was also tied for Top Producing Bitch of 2005.
Babybut came back to to the Northwest to compete in the show ring in the fall of 2004 and continued to win Best of Breeds and Group placements with limited showing until s he whelped her second and final litter in April of 2006. Of the twelve puppies produced in the litter, there are several hopefuls who are doing well in the show ring and other activities. |
